Christ College will be holding its very first Giving Day on Friday 5th May. We are in the process of planning for this important fundraising event, with the aim raising funds that support the work of the Foundation while also strengthening bonds across the miles.
One of the main elements of a Giving Day is to encourage donations to selected funds through matched donations e.g. “David X has pledged £2000 to the Chapel and Heritage Fund if we receive 50 other donations to the fund from School House”. Progress towards meeting each challenge will be recorded on the donor board on the Giving Day website, and it is likely to become quite competitive as Year Groups or Houses compete with one another to raise funds.
To build momentum towards boosting funds, we are currently looking for generous supporters who will spearhead Giving Day by pledging a donation to one of four funds in advance of the day itself:
We have already been given several magnificent pledges from OBs, which will be linked to challenges for matched donations for Giving Day, including a £5000 pledge for the Pavilion and a £5000 pledge for Bursaries and Scholarships.
