When Christ College was founded in 1541, £24 of the original endowment was set aside for scholars. While the original fund has long since gone, the spirit behind it is stronger than ever. Thanks to the Foundation and its funds, we are able to offer a Christ College education to pupils with promise, talent and ambition who would not otherwise be able to join the school.
Our charitable mission isn’t just tradition; it’s central to the life of Christ College today.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of Old Breconians, including those who once received support themselves and who have chosen to give back. Their donations have already transformed hundreds of lives by supporting the scholarships and bursaries that enable pupils to thrive and succeed.
