Issy Morris secured a top-five finish at Europe Triathlon Cup Yenişehir, her first Europe Triathlon event since 2019, while there were three British men in the top-20 in the men's race in Turkey.
Both the elite men's and women's races came down to the final 5km with Morris part of a lead group of over 20 athletes who entered transition two together in the women's race. Morris (00:57:44) was one of the fastest runners over the final leg, crossing the line fifth and only a couple of seconds behind fourth-place Romana Gajdosova of Slovakia in fourth.
