As the rugby season gets underway this term, our 1st XV captains, Ioan and Lloyd, have already shown exceptional leadership, motivating their team both in training and on the pitch.
This year, Lloyd continues a proud family tradition—he is the third brother to wear the captain’s blazer, following in the footsteps of Owen (SCH, 21-23) and Rhys (SCH, 21-25) who each led their teams during their time at Christ College. This marks the first time in our history that three brothers have held this title honour.
While we’ve previously seen father-son duos and pairs of brother’s captain the side, this is a CCB first.
Brothers - Andrew ('70) & Joe Davies ('74) and David ('79) & Jim Evans ('82)
Father & Son - Andrew ('91) and Oliver Lewis ('19)
We look forward to an exciting season ahead and wish Ioan and Lloyd the best of luck as they lead the team in the upcoming fixtures.
