On Wednesday 24th May the OBA held their first 'Professional' seminar. Hosted by Richard Rees (DHB, 81-84) UK Managing Director at Savills at their Head Office in Margaret Street, London. It was attended by 20 OBs from various sectors within the Property Industry.
An insight into the impact of the Green agenda on the property market was given by Brad Johnson and Yorgos Koronaios from Savills. With 2030 looming and the target for the UK of 100% Zero Carbon in Operation we had an insight into ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance)
• An ESG programme is a form of risk management.
• ESG, Sustainability & CSR overlap but have different focus points.
• ESG programmes are broadly part of a corporate strategy to address investor or regulatory demands
Afterwards there were lots of discussions about the future Green agenda over drinks.
