Again this year it was such a pleasure to deliver a birthday card in person for our oldest OB - Major John Evans (HOSTEL, 34-40) - who is 101 years young.
His room was adorned with his CCB Caps and plaques from his days in the Army which he joined straight from school during WW2.
He was telling me tales of fighting in the Hostel dorms and the punishment that went with it when caught. Also his first Rugby International match which was Wales V New Zealand in Cardiff on 21st December, 1935 with Wales winning 13-12.

I checked out his recollection of the day in the match report and he was spot on - 87 years later.
