I am delighted to share with you the Michaelmas Term edition of ‘The Breconian’, another excellent publication from our terrific team. As you browse the contents, you’ll see that the school is in terrific heart.
It is almost impossible to select a favourite part of a busy term that always begins with the anticipation of fresh faces and ends with the celebration of the Carol Service, but a particular highlight was the 40 Years of Co-education Assembly just before half-term. Special guests were two of my predecessors, Philip Jones and Emma Taylor, together with Sally Stewart, the very first girl to join Christ College in 1985. Our current pupils think of co-education as the most normal thing in the world and it was eye-opening for them to learn first-hand about the pioneering changes that led to the thriving co-educational community that we know today.
You can read about this historic and memorable occasion and the many other school events that have filled the life of the school tis term by opening ‘The Breconian’ from the link below.
I very much hope you will enjoy the vibrancy and energy of the term captured in its pages.
My best wishes for a very Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year,
