The Foundation and the Bursary Fund enable us to offer life-changing bursaries to pupils who wouldn't otherwise be able to experience a Christ College education. As a result of donations to the Foundation and its Funds, we are able to give a range of small and larger bursaries that currently amount to the equivalent of 28 places.
In September 2023 we were able to offer scholarships to 13 new Sixth Formers who show excellence and talent in their chosen disciplines. These new scholars joined those already supported by the thoughtful generosity of Old Breconians to the Foundation and the Scholarship Fund. They include Academic Scholars, All-Round Scholars and Sports Scholars as well as Scholars with specialisms in Music, Art and Drama.
Once such pupil is Jack, an All-Round Scholar who is a Welsh International athlete hoping to take up his offer of a place to read English at Exeter College, Oxford in 2024. Listen to him talking about what he has been able to achieve thanks to the CCB Foundation and its Funds.
Giving Day donations play an important part in enabling us to make a transformational difference to many of our pupils. To hear more from the pupils themselves and learn how your donation supports the work of the Foundation, visit the Giving Day website
Each pupil who receives a scholarship or bursary is able to benefit from a Christ College education because of the generosity of donors. With this in mind, we have established the Giving Back Fund. If you received a scholarship or bursary while at school and would like to 'give back' so that others may similarly benefit, please consider making a donation to this important new fund on Giving Day.
