A big HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY to Alison M Hembrow (STAFF, 87-99)
Although not the first female teacher at CCB, she was the first full-time female teacher and taught History for 12 years.
Also known as AMH, Ma Hembrow or Ma Hem & latterly Hembers, Alison was also the first Tutor in de Winton, the first Senior Mistress and the first girls hockey and netball coach.
In recent years she also ran the ex-staff coffee mornings at Pilgrims @ the Cathedral and St Mary's Church.
As we approach 40 years of girls at CCB and 30 years of full co-education, it is a pleasure to celebrate Alison's birthday today.
