The Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire  has appointed seven new Deputy Lieutenants for the county.

The role of the Deputy Lieutenants is to support the Lord Lieutenant, James Puxley, in his wide-ranging work as His Majesty’s personal representative in Berkshire.

Rohit Tanna (SHR, 65-71) is both a trustee of the Rotary Club of Pangbourne Charitable Trust and a member and secretary of the club itself.

He ran his own dental practice in Reading from 1978 until he retired in 2010.

Rohit Tanna DL was involved with other aspects of dentistry serving as Chairman of the Local Berkshire Dental Committee for 8 years and was President of the South Mercia Branch of the British Dental Association.

He is currently a trustee of Sandhurst Trust and director of Sandhurst Enterprises Limited, trustee and treasurer of Dr Ellerton’s Charity, and a trustee of the Rotary Club of Pangbourne Charitable Trust.
