A gallery of school ties generously donated by OBs over the years is now viewable in our online collection. Ranging from the 1950s to the designs introduced in 2008, the school ties in the textile collection in the Christ College Archive will be familiar to many of you.
With help from OBs via the OBA lively FaceBook pages, the OBA and Christ College Archive have also been able to assemble what we think is the full collection of commemorative ties, tour ties and club ties.
You can view the collection in Object 36: the school tie, recently added to the 15 41 exhibition.
If you spot there is something missing, please let us know. Or if you would like to donate a tie to the Archive, we’d love to hear from you.
