Christ College were proud of their performance despite a Cup Semi-Final loss to deserved tournament winners, Ysgol Glantaf. They started the day in Pool C facing some of the top schools in the country. The first game against Kings Worcester saw CCB dust off the half-term cobwebs and put in a convincing win. This started the day off with a bang and set the standard for the day. CCB faced Bloxham next, who put up a good fight, but Christ College put in another strong performance and moved into Game 3 full of confidence. This game proved to be the battle for supremacy of Pool 3, in a thrilling encounter on Pitch 1, which saw CCB come out victorious against Millfield. This secured a cup quarter-final against local rivals, Monmouth. This was another big clash where CCB played some excellent Sevens and came out victorious 38-5. This set up a cup semi-final for the hosts against Glantaf. CCB put in a valiant effort but came up just short going down 38-22.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all that made the day run so smoothly. Our Estates Team ensured the site and pitches were ready following a battering by Storm Eunice. The CCB Society of Friends established a great Supporters Area with delicious hot snacks, sweet treats and roasted coffee supplied by Cribyn Coffee. Tantrwm provided a large screen so no action from the livestream, provided by NextGenXV was missed when spectators were refueling!
Thanks also to Coyle Surfacing for providing the CCB Team kit and Gower Cottage Brownies, who provided all players with their delicious brownies.
We were also delighted to have the Army Engagement team at the tournament plus special guest, Royal Welsh mascot, Shenkin IV who's contribution to the event made it even more special for the players.
