As we finalise the numbers for our very first Giving Day, we are delighted to report that Giving Day has so far raised £27, 274. Donations are still coming in, and the website will be open for donations until midnight tonight - 10th May 2023.
121 donors have made donations to one of the four funds selected for Giving Day so far. All four funds have benefited from donations made, with the Chapel and Heritage and Pavilion Funds doing particularly well. We'd like to say a big thank you to all our donors, and also to our 'pledgees' whose pledges encouraged the community to donate.
37 donors were first time donors, surpsassing the Challenge for 30 first time donors. As a result, Owen Murfin's pledge of £2,000 has been released to the Bursaries and Scholarships Fund.
34 donors have made a donation to the Chapel and Heritage fund, surpassing Charles Morgan's Challenge for 30 donors. His pledge of £500 has likewise been released to that fund.
For the same fund, £2,000 has been secured for the purchase of an custom-made organ bench.
Pupils gave over 500 items to Brecon Food Bank. The collection was delivered yesterday, thus releasing £1,000 pledged by parent Richard Feasey to the Bursaries and Scholarship Fund.
In the coming months, we'll share stories of the ways in which funds raised are used to support our community and our heritage, and we'll keep you updated with plans for Giving Day 2024!
