Jim A Douglas (SDA, 96-01) - Adjutant General’s Corps (Staff and Personnel Support Branch)
While at CCB Jim played more games for the 1st XV than anyone else (4 seasons and a couple of tours). After attending University in Bournemouth, Jim joined the Army in 2007 and has spent the last 15 years in various roles in different countries and Operational Theatres. Having studied for an MSc in Informational Capability in 2019, he went on to lead the Army Mobile Application Team and was pivotal to the development of a suite of Mobile Apps used by all of Defence.
Reaching the rank of Major, Jim will retire from the Army in Feb 22 and will take up Job with Salesforce as their Lead Solutions Engineer.
Jim P Roberts (SDA, 99-06) - for services to wheelchair rugby.
After contracting meningitis a couple of weeks after the end of his first year at university, he went on to spend two and a half years in hospital. The illness meant both his legs were amputated below the knee, and he also had limited movement in his arms and hands. He is a full-time wheelchair user.
Since 2013, alongside a career in architecture, Jim has amassed 140 GB Caps including a Gold at the recent 2021 Tokyo Paralymics.

Des Lally (SHR, 86-93) - For voluntary and charitable service to the community in Brecon.
From school Des attended Exeter University and obtained a degree in Sport & PE. From there he worked for a number of banks in London before returning to South Wales to become an Independent Mortgage and Insurance broker.
365 Times in 365 Days.
Des went Up and Down Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons 365 times in one Year starting 26th March 2018 and finishing 26th March 2019, raising money for for Cancer Research UK and Help for Heroes. "It’s about giving something to those organisations that unconditionally help and to try and ensure they are able to continue to do so."
